Not Starting From Here - Part 3

This work is an ongoing exploration of the west coast of Cumbria following as closely as possible the line between land and sea.

Due to the vast area to be explored I have set myself the challenge that wherever I produce an image I must be able to see to see the sea, whether it features in the image or not.

The work is essentially a four part journey that reflects not only geographically but seasonally on the region with each section being produced in the season that I feel best reflects the character of that area.

The end result of the work is intended to be a book combining my images with short stories of fictional prose, inspired in some way by the image content, to reflect on the sense that just as the stories are a fiction, the images can in many ways be regarded in a similar manner.
